Description: 
  • Brand-new museum with an extensive selection of objects, documents, images and sounds from the rich history of Sint-Niklaas and Waasland.
  • Mankind's voice takes you on a journey through time, from prehistory to the 21st century.
  • Three story lines - mankind and materials, mankind and machines, mankind and body - are the leitmotiv throughout the exhibition.
  • The knitting atelier is housed in a factory building; it shows the technical evolutions in knitting techniques, fashion trends and it offers human testimonies.
  • There is an open depot where visitors can rummage through spare pieces.
Opening hours: 

Tues - Sat: 2 to 5 pm.
Sun: 11 am to 5 pm.

The museums are closed during the last three weeks in December and the first two weeks in January.
