  • Discover the history of cartography and the changing world view, with Mercator as the leading figure.
  • Maps, plans and instruments take you on a historic journey from the Babylonians, Greeks and Romans to the Middle Ages and the 16th century. Modern cartographic techniques are also on display.
  • Mercator's treasury shows you a selection from his oeuvre. Eye-catchers include the original terrestrial and celestial globe and wall maps of the world and of Europe.
Opening hours: 

Tues - Sat: 2 to 5 pm.
Sun: 11 am to 5 pm.

The museums are closed during the last three weeks in December and the first two weeks in January.
